The Brief

Paul and Jill had an old, unused patio with an uneven surface that had become neglected over time.

They wanted to transform the area into a garden retreat that would encourage them to spend more time outdoors throughout the year.

After looking at a number of timber garden buildings, they decided they wanted something more substantial, thoughtfully designed and built to a higher standard.

We created a bespoke garden retreat that reflected the style they were looking for and complemented their home and garden.

The Outcome

The completed garden room transformed an unused part of the garden into an inviting space to relax and enjoy throughout much more of the year.

Carefully selected fi nishes and a simple, timeless design ensure the building sits naturally within its surroundings, creating a seamless extension of the garden.

It was a pleasure working with Paul and Jill, whose clear vision helped the project run smoothly from start to fi nish. The fi nished retreat is a space they can enjoy for many years to come.

Most knowledgeable and extremely helpful

On a drive to Stratford upon Avon we saw Henley Garden Buildings so popped in for a look-see and a chat with Kevin. He was most knowledgeable and extremely helpful, introducing us to the concept of a steel framed fully insulated Garden Studio with power, heating, USB charging and wi-fi provision. Despite my constant querying of absolutely everything about the building, he was always on hand to provide a good level of information to allay all my concerns.

We finally ordered a 4m x 4m building and was promised an installation date and programme for construction. These dates were exactly met and throughout the process all of his staff were helpful and courteous. Before final handover, we wanted the external downlights adjusting more to our liking – this was undertaken without question and without any request for additional payment.

We now have a fantastic patio area, with amazing Garden Studio, that gives us a fabulous area to relax and enjoy our garden. Whilst we will use it solely as a garden retreat, we think that others could easily use it as an office or gym. We are very pleased with this amazing addition to our house, and can now enjoy our garden for the whole year, not just the Spring to Autumn period initial envisage
