£60,000 - £70,000
Ben and Rachel came to us with a clear vision: to create a multifunctional garden retreat that would incorporate a golf simulator, pool table, TV area, dart board and bar, all within the 30m² permitted development footprint.
Their garden was elevated at the rear and, with a golf simulator requiring an internal swing height of three metres, fitting everything into the available space was an enjoyable design challenge.
The additional height meant a householder planning application was required, which we managed with our specialist planning partners before work began.
The completed design successfully brought together everything Ben and Rachel had hoped for.
A split-level roof allowed us to achieve the internal height needed for the golf simulator while keeping the building balanced within the garden.
Inside, the open-plan layout incorporates dedicated areas for golf, entertaining, relaxing and a bespoke bar, while a 4.5m five-panel bifold opens the space onto a generous deck, extending the room outdoors.
Rachel’s interior choices and Ben’s bespoke bar and storage added plenty of personality, creating a space that feels both practical and welcoming. It was a pleasure working with them throughout the project, and together we created a garden retreat that reflects exactly what they had envisioned.
We had a fantastic experience working with Henley Garden Buildings. From our initial contact and visit to their home/showroom, through the design and planning phase, and then onto the build and finishing; every aspect was professionally and thoughtfully delivered.
Kevin and Jackie are the perfect team, combining expert design, an eye for detail, and a passion for quality.
The whole process was made stress free and enjoyable and the final product is better than we could have ever hoped for. A great company and a great product, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend (and indeed have already done so to many of our friends)!
