Bespoke Avon Garden Studio

Tina and Clive visited us at our show site with a vision of upgrading an unused space at the top of their garden. A home visit was arranged so that we could visualise the space and carry out a survey to enable us to maximise the potential area.
It soom became clear that there were access issues with the property being a mews cottage with access through a neighbouring property. The garden was narrow but very long with the proposed siting of the studio at the top of the garden. The garden itself was sectioned into three areas, first area on entrance was a beautiful terrace leading through an arched pergola into a lovely well kept country garden which led through another arched pergola to an area that had a stone surface, an old shed and a tired decked area.
Tina and Clive had picked the best spot for their studio and our brief was to make the area inviting and a destination to enjoy.
A survey was carried on the width of the garden, as maximising the width of the studio would ensure the garden felt wider. This was our first objective
Visualising what a space could look like is always key to a project, while providing a customised designed studio with 3D renders allows our clients to see our vision and gain our trust.
We designed a spectacular bespoke Avon Garden Studio that was measured at 4.7m x 3.7m externally, 4.4m x 3.4 m internally. We included a 90cm overhanging canopy and a 1 metre deck area giving the studio depth and a creating a visual treat on approach.
The configuration of doors and windows are a major part of our designs, enhancing views or even creating a feeling of width and openness. The front entrance was designed with a large 3 metre fully opening bi-fold door and a full height fixed glazed window on either gable side placed close to the front. The rear of the studio backed onto a wooded area and so two opening landscaped windows were included to capitalise on the view and create great airflow.
The walls were clad in award winning composite cladding from Ecoscape Slatted Spiced Oak. Internally, as always, the studio was finished with full electrics, painted walls and ceilings with a quality floor covering. The finished Avon garden studio was truly stunning! We have to say that Tina has certainly got an eye for interior design as the furnishings she has chosen have created a beautiful, inviting space, which compliments the studio perfectly.
Following on from the completion of their garden studio, Tina and Clive asked us if we could create contrasting fencing in slatted cladding to suit the studio. We were more than happy to do this and the results were fantastic, creating not just a space to enjoy but a truly All Year Round Chill out space.
We had been considering what to do with a tired space at the bottom of our garden for ages and needed some inspiration. We both approached Kevin, who inspected the site and gave us various options for a garden building.
The attention to detail and quality of both the product and workmanship was outstanding and thorough from the outset, with a spreadsheet timetable outlining the work to be carried out and the fitter involved.
Over the following two weeks, the whole team worked professionally like a well oiled machine and transformed the area, overseen by Kevin at every stage, making sure we were happy with the process and nothing was too much trouble. Jackie sent us a moodboard midway through installation with colour scheme ideas for internal paint and flooring.
The whole experience was seamless and we now have the most wonderful additional year round space to enjoy. We cannot thank Kevin, Jackie and the whole team enough for doing an excellent job and delivering us the wow factor
