Bryan and Lesley had a much loved tree that they didn’t want to lose but which took up a large part of the area they needed for their studio and store.
Following a site visit and a lot of thought, we came up with a design that would recess the Store section to allow for the tree
As the garden also had a slight slope we added a double step feature to the whole front section, wrapping around to the store area.
The Rowington design was chosen as the starting point and then altered and amended to create this unusual bespoke studio.
With a difficult brief, this was one of our favourite results!
Designed in Argent cladding with contrasting Havana deck, side wall and canopy creating a truly unique studio.
Completed in Driftwood walls, Oak Taupe chevron flooring, Brian and Lesley styled the interior with impeccable taste. The final result was just beautiful!

It began with a visit to Henley Garden Buildings where we met Kevin who showed us the show garden studios. He then visited us at home and listened to our wish list. We wanted the studio plus attached storage room located to the rear of a smallish garden and wanted to optimise both the space within the garden studio and also within the storage room but, a big but, desperately wanted to keep two mature trees located in that vicinity. This made the location a bit more complicated. However Kevin came up with a great plan which met our wish list, kept the trees and was bespoke to us. The studio would easily be big enough to sit five or so people, the storage room would hold all that we wanted it to, and the beautiful trees would remain and frame the studio perfectly.
We discussed a start date and received a complete work schedule. The tradesmen were very skilled, extremely hardworking, polite and friendly. The building went according to schedule, Kevin was in touch throughout and we were more than happy with the end result.
