When Richard and Nikki visited us at our show site, it was clear right from the start that they ahd a brief that was very exciting. They wanted to replace an existing pool building for not one, but two new Studios. One was to be an entertaining area and the other was to house a gym, toilet/changing facility and a pump house.
We arranged a home visit, which is always important and allows us to visualise the setting for the design and placement for windows and doors. The property was beautiful in a lovely landscape with a large wooded area creating a stunning back drop.
We set to work on designing two amazing individual Studios that truly hit the brief.
Careful consideration was taken throughout the design process with regards to the landscape and heritage of the property itself. We kept both Studios the same dimension 6.5m x 4.5m for symmetry. The entertaining space was designed with two full height windows to absorb the forestry to the side and two picture windows to the rear to enhance the view through the Studio to the wooded area beyond. The entertaining Studio was opened up with 4mtr Aluminium Crittal bifold doors.
The Gym area was partitioned off to allow for a toilet/changing facility and a pump house to the rear. The space allocated for the gym was 4.5m x 4.5m, allowing plenty of space for large equipment. The toilet area was 1.9m x 1.8m and pump house 1.9m x 2.2m. This Studio was designed with two picture windows to the rear, again to capitalise on the rear view and a 3mtr Aluminium Crittal bifold door. The toilet area had a single opaque Aluminium Crittal door with separate access to the rear of the Studio to the pump house via a hidden single UPVC fully panelled door.
We linked both Studios with a deck area that allows access across the whole width of the two Studios. The external finish chosen was Midnight Cladding and Decking, which totally compliments the black metal doors.
The whole project was complete within 3 weeks. We are overwhelmed with the spectacular results and truly proud of the team and all of their hard work given to this project.

Our journey with Kevin, Jackie and the team at Henley Garden Buildings started when we passed their showroom by chance and popped in. We had been looking to replace existing buildings to the rear of our pool since moving in but we’d never quite found what we’d been after.
We immediately loved the look of Henley’s buildings and were particularly impressed with Kevin’s knowledge of and enthusiasm for his product. Our first impressions were confirmed when Kevin and Jackie visited our house so we could talk through our plans in more detail and work on the specifics of function and how the buildings would sit within the landscape.
Kevin immediately grasped what we were trying to achieve and was instrumental in helping us achieve our vision, through his thoughtful design, considered landscaping and close attention to detail throughout the build.
The new buildings have transformed our use of this area, meaning it has become a social hub which has really enriched family life.
Throughout the project, Kevin and his team were a joy to work with. They’re a very friendly bunch, yet highly professional at the same time. Kevin’s careful project management meant it was very easy to work through the inevitable hiccups that crop up with any building work and at all times Kevin’s number one priority has been delivering a first rate finished product, even if that has resulted in extra work on his part.
In short, we are extremely satisfied with our experience with Kevin and the team and we couldn’t recommend Henley Garden Buildings highly enough.
